Our
story
Like all stories, ours also has a starting point—a beginning that goes back to when we were little and began exploring the world through play. Back then, having fun was everything, our sole purpose, and that playful spirit is with us still.
Paper crafts were also a part of our early play, whether it was cutting and glueing cutouts, seeing who could fold the best paper airplane, or marvelling at the magic of pop-up books.
A path forged together
We’ve taken many turns along the way leading to where we are today. We went down separate paths that led us to a lot of other places, learning plenty along the way. And with all this background and a bag full of hits and misses, we decided to travel a piece of the road together.
So, in 2017 we planted the first seeds of what would become Plego. During this beautiful journey we’ve had the pleasure of teaming up with brands such as Moritz, Loewe, Lumix Panasonic and Louis Vuitton, among others. And every one of these partnerships has helped us cement our project and pick up valuable experiences.

Who we are
We’re David and Joan, brothers and designers with a long professional career and insatiable creative thirst. With Gemma’s invaluable assistance, we do our best to turn our passion for origami, crafts and design into a creative experience for the whole family.
Beyond the walls of our design studio, we also count on a range of off-site professional contributors who are part of our creative network.
What we do
We make papercraft models to be assembled, an activity that’s both fun and educational. Our creations are craft projects to make on your own or with little ones, and at the same time are designer decorative pieces.
Plego kits come with clear, detailed instructions that make assembly accessible to enthusiasts of all levels.
Whether you’re passionate about origami or simply looking for an original outlet to express your creativity, Plego papercraft models are an invitation to explore the art of folding in a new and exciting way!

Our values

LEARNING
We offer an activity that helps stretch the imagination while stimulating creativity, cognition and fine-motor skills. You’ll learn about the natural world around you while having fun assembling our models.

THE ENVIRONMENT
We’re deeply committed to creating environmentally friendly products of the highest quality. The paper we use is FSC certified and sourced from responsible forestry. Our materials are manufactured locally and we minimize the use of plastics.

SOCIAL COMMITMENT
Keenly aware of the inequality and lack of job opportunities around us, we’re committed to bettering our society, which is why we team up with social-inclusion companies that employ people at risk of marginalisation.
We invite you to discover our papercraft flora and fauna and to enjoy this journey with us. It will be a great pleasure.
